Vaujany
is an idyllic Alpine village located in the Isère region of
France. It is one of eight resorts that make up the world-class ski
area of Les Grandes Rousses, which also includes the more famous resort
of Alpe d'Huez.
Vaujany
embraces both the traditional way of alpine life as well a modern
approach to tourism. The resort has grown in recent years, but retains
much of its original charm and style. It has excellent facilities,
including a 160-person cable car, a superb sport centre with a
full-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, bars, restaurants and cafes.
The
scenery around Vaujany is breathtaking. The south-facing resort looks
directly onto the Massif des Grandes Rousses mountains and the Fare
waterfall. The views from all parts of the resort are clear and
uncluttered, leading to a feeling of space and tranquility.
For
some, it may come as a surprise to learn that Vaujany is both a winter
and summer time resort. But there is much to discover, here - whether
you're looking for the excitement of mountain biking, the fun of
canoeing or even the companionship of a guided
walk through the meadows, Vaujany is the prefect
summer-time venue for everyone.
